Find your first result

Go from opening the app to understanding a racer’s season.

Read video transcript

Your race is more than a finish line. Let’s find your place in Race Chase. Choose cross-country or downhill, then open Racer Chase. Pick the season and class you want to follow. Tap a racer to explore their results and season performance. Looking for a specific race? Open Events and choose the event. Check the class and published results before comparing finishes. Coverage depends on the official data available, so a missing result doesn’t always mean a missing ride. That’s your first lap. Now follow the whole chase.

Read the steps
  1. Choose Cross-Country or Downhill.
  2. Open Racer Chase and select the season and championship class.
  3. Open a racer to explore their profile and published results.
  4. For a specific race, open Events, select the event, and check the class.

Results and available views depend on the discipline and published event data.

Build your personal chase

Keep the racers and stories you care about close.

Read the steps
  1. Choose your discipline and open My Chase.
  2. In the XC view, choose Follow and search by name, team, or class.
  3. Use the save or follow control beside an item to add it.
  4. Return to My Chase to revisit saved items; use the same control to remove one.

XC and downhill keep separate favorites. Favorites are stored on this device; do not rely on account sign-in to transfer them.

Compare racers and share a matchup

Put two seasons side by side.

Read video transcript

Two racers. One view of the season. In cross-country, open My Chase and choose Compare. Select the two racers you want to see side by side. Check the season, then explore their results and performance. When your matchup is ready, use the share control to create a card and choose where to send it. Comparing downhill runs? Use racers from the same round, course, and class, and check that official timing is available. Follow the whole chase, one matchup at a time.

Read the steps
  1. In Cross-Country, open My Chase and choose Compare.
  2. Choose the two racers you want to compare.
  3. Check the selected season and review the displayed results.
  4. Choose Build + Share Matchup, then choose a destination in your device’s share options.

Downhill timing comparisons need matching round, course, and class, plus available official timing.

What turns a finish into Race Chase points? In cross-country, your official finishing position gives you a base score. That score is multiplied by the event’s published Race Chase value. Cross-country Olympic and short-track results combine only within the same championship class. Open How the Chase Works to see the rules, then check the event and class behind your total. Team Chase is separate: its official score uses the team’s ten highest individual race-point results. One racer can contribute more than one finish.

Read the steps
  1. Select Cross-Country and open How the Chase Works.
  2. Find the official finishing position and discipline for the result.
  3. Check the event’s published Race Chase value.
  4. Review the class total: eligible XCO and XCC results combine only within the same championship class.

Team Chase has a separate score: the ten highest individual race-point results for the team. One racer may contribute multiple finishes.

Read downhill results and timing

Follow the final run and understand the gaps.

Downhill comes down to the final run. Choose Downhill in Race Chase, then open your class leaderboard. Your official final placing earns position points, multiplied by the published event value. Seeding sets the start order; it does not add Chase points. Open an event to explore the results, and use available splits to see where time was gained or lost. For a meaningful run comparison, match the round, course, and class. Now you know what moved the leaderboard.

Read the steps
  1. Choose Downhill and open the relevant class leaderboard.
  2. Open the event and review the official Final results.
  3. Where available, inspect checkpoint splits and segment information.
  4. Compare racers from the same round, course, and class.

Seeding determines start order and does not earn Chase points. Missing splits cannot be reconstructed from a finish time alone.

Claim your racer profile

Connect your account to the correct existing racer record.

Read video transcript

Your results already tell a story. Claim your racer profile to make the introduction yours. Open Account and sign in. Choose Claim a profile, then select the correct existing racer. Add the requested verification and a current headshot. Read the media release before signing. For a minor, a parent or guardian needs to complete the appropriate steps. Submit your request, then check its status in Profile. Once approved, choose Customize My Profile. A claim connects your identity; it does not change official race results.

Read the steps
  1. Open Account and sign in or create an account.
  2. In Profile, choose Claim a profile and select the correct existing racer.
  3. Provide the requested verification and current headshot. Read the media release before signing; a parent or guardian must handle a minor’s claim.
  4. Submit and return to Profile to check the claim status. Once approved, open Customize My Profile.

Submitting a claim does not approve it immediately or change official race results. Do not create another racer record to work around a pending claim.

Riders & teams

Request access to your team

Help Race Chase identify the right team representative.

Read the steps
  1. Switch to Cross-Country and sign in through Account.
  2. Open Profile and choose Claim a team.
  3. Select the exact team name and provide the authorized director or manager’s details.
  4. Submit the request and check its status in your account.

Claims are reviewed. A team claim does not automatically grant access to every racer’s profile or official results.

Choose your alerts

Control the updates that reach your phone.

Read the steps
  1. Open Account and find Alerts.
  2. Choose the notification categories you want.
  3. Use the enable control and allow notifications when your phone asks.
  4. If phone permission is off, open notification settings and enable the permissions you want.

Phone permissions and in-app preferences both matter. A favorite does not guarantee an alert for every result or event.

Riders & fans

Find race coverage

Get from the event to its available coverage.

Read the steps
  1. Open the relevant event or Race Day view.
  2. Check the event date and the coverage links shown.
  3. Open the available broadcast or replay link.
  4. If a link is missing or incorrect, report the event name, date, and page through Support.

Not every event has a stream, replay, or live timing. A leaderboard update is not a promise of live video.

Everyone

Report a missing or incorrect result

Give the support team enough information to verify a correction.

Read the steps
  1. Open Account → Support, or the Race Chase contact page.
  2. Choose Race result issue.
  3. Add the event name, date, discipline, class, and racer name or profile link.
  4. Explain what is shown and what should be shown; include a link to the official published results when available.

Use the organizer or timing provider for disputes about the official result itself. Race Chase support can review how published information appears in the app.

Prepare event information for review

Make your event and official results easier to verify.

Organizing a race? Help people find the whole story. First, check whether your event already appears in Race Chase. Gather the event name, dates, venue, discipline, classes, and official event page. For results, include the published final-results link. Open Race Chase Support and explain whether you’re requesting event inclusion or correcting an existing record. For a correction, name the racer and class, and describe what should change. Inclusion is reviewed, not guaranteed. Keep using your event’s normal registration and timing systems. We’ll help connect the results to the chase.

Read the steps
  1. Check whether the event already appears in Race Chase.
  2. Gather its official name, dates, venue, discipline, classes, and public event link.
  3. Gather the official final-results link and any approved public coverage links.
  4. Contact Race Chase with those details and clearly state whether you are requesting inclusion or correcting an existing event.

Inclusion and event value are reviewed, not guaranteed. Continue to use your event’s registration and timing systems for race operations.

Getting started

What is Race Chase?

Race Chase connects mountain bike results, class standings, racer profiles, and available event coverage across cross-country and downhill racing.

Do I need an account to browse?

Public results and racer profiles can be browsed without claiming a profile. Sign in when requesting profile or team access and using account controls.

Where do I download the app?

The iPhone app is coming soon and is awaiting Apple approval. Use Open web app at the top of this page to explore Race Chase in your browser. The iPhone download link will be added after approval.

Is an Android download available?

An Android download is not currently linked here. You can explore Race Chase in your browser using Open web app. Check the Race Chase overview page for release updates.

Do I register for races in Race Chase?

Register with the event using the organizer’s normal process. Race Chase connects eligible published results into season views; following an event does not register you to race.

Does the app work without internet?

Current results, account actions, and connected coverage need an internet connection. Do not rely on previously loaded information as the latest official result.

Results & scoring

Why can’t I find a racer or result?

Check the discipline, season, class, and spelling first. Coverage depends on available official event data. If it still appears missing, report the racer and event with an official results link.

How are XC points calculated?

A classified finishing position earns base points for its discipline, multiplied by the published event value. Use the current How the Chase Works guide for schedules and event values.

Do XCO and XCC points combine?

Eligible cross-country Olympic and short-track points combine only within the same championship class. Points do not move between separate classes.

Do downhill seeding runs earn points?

No. The official Final placing earns downhill Chase points. Seeding sets start order; splits explain the run rather than adding separate Chase points.

Why do events have different values?

Race Chase assigns published event values under its inclusion and scoring approach. Check the event and the discipline’s current scoring guide rather than assuming all races use the same multiplier.

How does Team Chase scoring work?

The XC Team Chase score is the sum of the team’s ten highest individual race-point results. One racer can contribute more than one finish. A displayed full-season total may therefore differ from the official Team Chase score.

Why are some timing splits missing?

Timing detail depends on the official data supplied for that race. Not all events publish checkpoint or lap data. Compare downhill runs only when round, course, and class match.

Are results updated instantly?

Availability depends on event data and verification. Do not assume every race supplies live timing or that all results appear immediately after the finish.

Can I edit an official result from my profile?

No. Profile customization is separate from official results. Report an incorrect result with the event, racer, class, and supporting official source.

Do points carry into the next season?

The XC guide describes separate seasonal championships, with a new season starting at zero. Select the season you intend to view when reviewing records.

My Chase & sharing

Where are my favorites saved?

Favorites are stored on the device, with separate XC and downhill lists. They are not a guaranteed account backup or cross-device sync service.

Why are my XC favorites missing in downhill?

Each discipline has its own saved list. Switch back to the discipline where you followed the item.

How do I compare racers?

In the XC My Chase view, choose Compare and select two racers. Review the season and results, then use Build + Share Matchup to create a card.

Can I share a racer or result?

Use the available share control on the relevant screen to build a card and open your device’s share options. Available card types vary by screen and discipline.

Profiles & teams

What does claiming a profile do?

It requests a reviewed connection between your account and an existing racer record. An approved racer claim unlocks the available profile customization controls.

What do I need for a racer claim?

Select the correct racer, provide the requested verification and current headshot, and complete the media release. Read the release before submitting your signature.

Can a parent or guardian claim a minor’s profile?

Yes. Claims for minors require a parent or guardian to complete the appropriate role and release steps. Use the existing racer record.

Why is my claim still pending?

Claims require review. Refresh the status in Account → Profile. No fixed approval time is promised here; contact Support if you need help with an unresolved claim.

Does a matching license number automatically approve my claim?

No. A matching number can help verification, but the headshot and signed release still require review.

How do I update an approved profile?

Sign in to the account connected to the approved claim, open Profile, and choose Customize My Profile. Save the changes through the editor.

Can I claim a team in downhill?

The current app exposes team claims in the XC account view. Downhill currently provides Racer, State, and Bike Chase views.

Organizers

How do I request event inclusion?

Contact Race Chase with the event name, dates, venue, discipline, classes, public event page, and official results source. Inclusion is reviewed and is not automatic.

Can I upload results directly through the rider app?

The rider-facing workflow documented here is to contact Support with the official source. Do not assume a personal account or team claim grants results-publishing access.

What should I send for a results correction?

Provide the exact event and date, discipline, class, racer or profile, the current value, the expected value, and an official final-results link. Explain whether the source results were revised.

Does event inclusion include a livestream?

No automatic coverage commitment is implied. Discuss broadcast or partnership arrangements separately and provide approved coverage links for review.

Can Race Chase replace my registration or timing system?

The workflows here concern Race Chase results and audience tools. Keep using your event’s registration, check-in, and timing services for operations.

Account & support

Why am I not receiving notifications?

Check the chosen alert categories and the phone’s notification permission for Race Chase. Alerts also depend on relevant updates or scheduled coverage being available.

Where do I report a problem?

Use Account → Support in the app or the Race Chase contact page. Include the screen, device, exact steps, and what you expected to happen.

Where are account deletion and privacy controls?

In a signed-in account, open the Account section for privacy links and Delete My Account. Read the confirmation carefully. Consult the linked account-deletion policy for what is removed and retained.

Does deleting my account delete official race results?

Official race results remain event records. Read the current account-deletion policy for the treatment of account data and retained records before choosing deletion.
